Psalms 121
The Bible says in Psalms 121 "Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth."
Awhile back my family was having some great difficulties. We lost all power in our home, electric, gas, and our home was in foreclosure. We lived in our house for 6 months with nothing. It was cold, we had no heat, no electric, no HOT water! It was aweful to say the least. Part of this was our fault and part of it due to circumstances we could not control. We had to go to relatives houses to take showers, we mainly ate out everyday because we had no where to put food. We bought a small generator to use for things that we necessarily had to have, we bought a kerosene heater for heat because sometimes at night it was in the 50's in our home. We had limited time before we had to move out of our house. Both my husband and I were laid off from our jobs, noone wanted to rent us a house because we had no jobs, we were in a BIG pickle. BUT through it all God still provided for us. He made a way for us to have food, shelter, heat, water and everything that we NEEDED. It may not have been the way we wanted it but God provided. And through it all He gave me peace. I wasn't worried about how or what or when we were going to be able to move to a new home. God gave me peace because He was and is in control.
I have a tattoo on the back of my neck that says "Jehovah Jierh" which means God is my provider. I know that my Lord always provides a way of escape.
Many times in my life He has given me an escape route. I gave my life to the Lord when I was 14 but turned away from God at the age of 20 and lived my life the way I wanted for about 7-8 years. I smoked, partied, drugs, alcohol you name it. Although I belonged to God I wasn't acting accordingly and God gave me the free will to do so. He was just waiting for me to call out to Him to save me.....and eventually I did.
I thank God he saved me, resuced me from the miry clay. He has done some much for me I cannot tell it all. If you are a child of God and you look back at all the terrible things you have went through...take a hard look and you will find that God has been with you through it all. He said I will never leave you nor forsake you, I'll be with you even until the end of the ages!
A personal blog about happenings in my life and what God has done and is doing for me.
Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
