I've heard from relitaves about this and remember this myself before I was saved. "When I go to church I feel as though the Preacher is talking directly to me." Or "I feel like everyone is staring at me." Does either of those sound like you?
Ok let me start by saying this..First the Preacher didn't even know that You were coming to church that day. You see as a Minister of the Gospel, they pray before hand and seek God on what they should preach about. Lets just give an example here. Lets say God has put on the Ministers heart about Forgiveness. So the Minister prepares a message on the topic Forgiveness. You come to church and you have been going back and forth about weather or not you should Forgive someone because they have done you terribly wrong. The Minister starts preaching on the subject and whoa!! He's talking to me!
You see there is no accident that you came to church that day to hear a message that God needed for you to hear. That is why it seems as if he is talking to you .
Now lets say after he preaches his message on Forgiveness he does an altar call. He says if you need help in forgiving someone or you would like to be saved come up to the altar for prayer. And all you can think of is...Everyone is going to be staring at me! Now this is a TRICK of the Devil.
You see Satan doesn't want you to forgive. He wants you to harbor unforgiveness in your heart. Jesus wants you to forgive. How many times does it say to forgive? He wants you to think that if you go to the altar people will be staring at you. Because whats waiting at the altar for you is something good and Satan definately doesn't want that for you. Satan is a thief and wants to steal your joy. Satan wants to trick you into believing a lie. Everything that God is for Satan is against! Why do you think he fights so hard to keep you from that altar?
God has a plan for you an plan to prosper you and not to harm you. Don't fall for the lies of the enemy or you will end up left when Jesus comes back for his people.
A personal blog about happenings in my life and what God has done and is doing for me.
Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
