Luke 6:45

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

One Man's Journey From Atheism and Witchcraft to Christ

By Josephine Vivaldo | Christian Post Contributor

Who would’ve thought that an atheist, who was a bunny killer by 5, an alcoholic by 15, a drug addict by 17, and a clinical sociopath by 18, would find God and start a multimillion-dollar software company.
  • Bob Williamson

Bob Williamson credits his turnabout from junkie to entrepreneur to Jesus, he told The Christian Post.

Before Christ, life for the now 64-year-old businessman was far from God, and if he ever thought about God, he was angry. After all, how can a loving God allow so much pain in his life?
Williamson knows the hypocrisy of the church. His parents were both Christians and attended church, and of course took him and his brother along. The church was tiny but full of hypocrisy, he said.
“The church had the worst pastors; they were either drunk or chasing women in the church and the churches were always fighting. And then you had an ignorant guy just screaming and yelling. The whole thing was a huge turnoff. As soon as I got old enough when I didn’t have to go I didn’t go.”
Religion was never truly important. To him, the whole concept seemed just ridiculous, especially with his wide knowledge on the subject after reading various books against it. By then, he was an atheist. Ever since he could remember, he only slept about three to four hours a day, leaving him to find comfort in books – a habit he planned to use as ammunition against Christianity later in life.

He left home by 17 and lived on the streets where he did almost every drug imaginable, he said. His first attempt to join the military failed after getting into a fight and getting court marshaled where he was sent to be reevaluated by a psychiatrist.
“He diagnosed me as being as a sociopath. They told me I didn’t have a conscience and that it was incurable so they were going to discharge me from the service because of that,” he recalled.
After his release, Williamson was arrested for heroin possession but was released on a technicality.
During his stay in New Orleans, he decided to try witchcraft, a practice he proved to be successful in.
“I believed in Satan then, I had had a lot of success at casting spells on people and they worked. I actually saw it with my own eyes.
He left the practice after he succeeded conjuring up demons on the river, an action he regretted, he said. According to witchcraft, the river is supposed to give the person more power.
“I tried to conjure up a demon one time and it scared me so badly that I got out of witchcraft.”
Because he had been in a bar fight and nearly killed a man, the police were looking for him. So he decided to go to Atlanta. Two weeks after his arrival, he had a head on collision that almost took him to his death bed.
During his time in the hospital, Williamson befriended an African-American nurse. Because he had always been an insomniac and a voracious reader, he asked her to bring him books during his hospitalization.
“She would go to the library and bring them to me. The librarian started sending me a list of all the bestselling books in the world and I would check out the ones that I wanted to read and I kept noticing that the Bible was the bestselling book in the world. So I decided to read it, not to become a Christian but to disprove it.
“I thought that if there was a God, He was mean and I didn’t want to do anything with Him because my life up to that point had been a total disaster and I blamed God.”
He began reading the Old Testament and found it “incredibly boring.” He remembers thinking of Genesis as an interesting book but told himself he wouldn’t read it anymore.
After his first attempt to read the Bible, the nurse gave her a copy of her personal Bible where he noticed underlined verses in the New Testament.
“I started reading it again and the more I read I found that Jesus Christ was nothing like what I had always thought. He was very compassionate, loving and he cared about people who were down and out.”
Williamson continued, “I became enamored with him and all that type of interesting things in the Gospels. But when I got to Philippians 4:13 (I can do all this through him who gives me strength), well I slammed it shut and called for my nurse.
“I told her ‘your Bible is nothing but a lie.’ I showed her the verse and I said ‘I am a hardcore drug addict and less than 2 percent of whoever puts a needle in their arm ever gets out of that alive. I had all kinds of friends die. I've seen people commit suicide including my brother; I committed arm robbery.’”
“She put her hands on her hips and said ‘Jesus is God and he can do anything He wants to do and He can change your sorry tail.’”
He testified, “Since then I believed the Bible was the word of God” and he never touched drugs or alcohol again.
When he left the hospital, he fell in love with his now wife for over 40 years, whom he had three sons with.
Of course, the new Christian found life difficult. Without a college degree or money he decided to start working in menial jobs at a paint factory.
In his early twenties he decided that the only way out of his situation was to work harder than anyone else, which meant arriving early at work and leaving late.
He eventually got promoted eight times and saved the company a substantial amount of money. He began looking into the paint business and took a $1,000 loan and began his own company in the basement, Wildlife Artist Supply in 1977.
“Everyone told me I was crazy and made fun of me but I kept thinking ‘I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.’”
There weren't any airbrush paints available at that time so he came out with his own formulation and in six months his business proved to be a technological breakthrough, turning into a multimillion dollar entity.
But by 1988 he sold his business due to debt he was unaware of at the time.
Disillusioned by the industry, he decided to look into other alternatives. He then looked into selling systems to school lunchrooms. The company, Horizon, eventually went from having three employees to 173 and $26 million.
In 2008, he sold his company for $75 million in cash and closed it shortly before the stock market crashed, something he credits God for. Because he’s not one to sit around and retire he decided to build Honey Lake Plantation, a spa and resort in Greenville, Fla.
He recently published his autobiography, Miracle on Lucky Street.
Despite monetary success, to Williamson, success cannot be found in a bank account or great accomplishments. “Success is finding peace and joy and happiness in your life and that can only come from God but it's available to anyone who wants it. I think you can do anything through Christ but it has to be something that He wants you to do.”
Reflecting over his life, he’s amazed and it’s almost hard to believe that he had changed into a completely different person.
“When I was 5 years old I killed my pet rabbit. I still find it hard to believe that I changed this much. You wouldn’t recognize me.”

May 24, 2011

You've heard it said...

Ok..so how many times now have we heard the world is gonna end on such and such date?  Well May 21 has came and gone now.  I really just have to chuckle to myself when I hear this sort of thing.  But what really bothered me is I was driving down the street and saw a sign outside the church on their bulletin board that said "  May 21st dooms day the Bible guarentees it?"  What in the world is that?!!  Have these people NOT read their Bible?  This is just another thing that makes us Christians look like idiots!

The Bible clearly states that noone knows when that day will be, not the angels in heaven, nor the son (Jesus), but only the father.  So if Jesus himself doesn't know when he's coming back why do people think they know so much?!

Then as I was sitting here at my computer, all of a sudden something hit me.  No it wasn't someone, or maybe it was.  But anyhow...You know how Obama had a meeting with Israel Primeminister

I was thinking, maybe the world didn't end on May 21st, but maybe it ended in a different way.

Genesis 12:3

3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

 Ezekiel 13:10
"Because, even because they have seduced My people (Israel), saying, "Peace", and there WAS NO PEACE ..."

Jeremiah 8:11
11 For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly,
Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’
When there is no peace.

 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3
2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

Zechariah 14:1-2

The Day of the LORD
1 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled,
And the women ravished.
Half of the city shall go into captivity,
But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Ezekiel 36:17-23
17 “Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own ways and deeds; to Me their way was like the uncleanness of a woman in her customary impurity. 18 Therefore I poured out My fury on them for the blood they had shed on the land, and for their idols with which they had defiled it. 19 So I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries; I judged them according to their ways and their deeds. 20 When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name—when they said of them, ‘These are the people of the LORD, and yet they have gone out of His land.’ 21 But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went.
22 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. 23 And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD,” says the Lord GOD, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.

Zephaniah 2:4 (KJV)

4For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.

Joel 3:1-2

God Judges the Nations
1 “For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations,
And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
And I will enter into judgment with them there
On account of My people, My heritage Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
They have also divided up My land.

Revelation 16:13-16

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and[a] of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.[b]

You are MY Cornerstone!

Mark 12:10 (New King James Version)
10 Have you not even read this Scripture:
‘ The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone.

The Passover

Exodus 12 (NKJV)

The Passover Instituted
1 Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. 3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: ‘On the tenth of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. 4 And if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his house take it according to the number of the persons; according to each man’s need you shall make your count for the lamb. 5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6 Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight. 7 And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. 8 Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. 9 Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire—its head with its legs and its entrails. 10 You shall let none of it remain until morning, and what remains of it until morning you shall burn with fire. 11 And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD’s Passover.
12 ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
14 ‘So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance. 15 Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel. 16 On the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation for you. No manner of work shall be done on them; but that which everyone must eat—that only may be prepared by you. 17 So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this same day I will have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance. 18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty-first day of the month at evening. 19 For seven days no leaven shall be found in your houses, since whoever eats what is leavened, that same person shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a stranger or a native of the land. 20 You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwellings you shall eat unleavened bread.’”
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb. 22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. 23 For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. 24 And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever. 25 It will come to pass when you come to the land which the LORD will give you, just as He promised, that you shall keep this service. 26 And it shall be, when your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’ 27 that you shall say, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice of the LORD, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.’” So the people bowed their heads and worshiped. 28 Then the children of Israel went away and did so; just as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.

What scars do you carry?

We had a women's meeting tonight at my Pastor friend's house.  It was an awesome meeting.  The subject was about scars and how God uses those scars to reflect where he has brought you from.  That was some of the message.

Night before last I had a dream about my ex-boyfriend.  The one I speak about in my testimony (if you haven't read it please do).  I wouldn't exactly describe it as a dream, more like a nightmare.  I was back at my old apartment where we used to live (he and I before my husband) and he was there waiting for me.  I was married to my husband now but some reason we were moving back to that apartment.  My husband was out running errands with a friend and my ex-boyfriend was at the house waiting to regain control of my life.  In my dream I was so angry and disgusted.  I broke a glass bottle and cut him with it!  I kept telling him that my husband would be home soon and he would kick his behind (only in my dream I swore!)

I told my sister and husband about the dream and left it at that.  I didn't know why I had a dream and that I was taken back to my old apartment, but the emotions that rose up in me, the feelings I felt I did not like.  I felt anger, resentment, fearful, and sick!  So last night I was thinking about the dream and I know that he has a facebook so I looked it up and saw that he got married.

Today God brought him to my mind again...only this time it was to tell me "you need to let him know that you forgive him for what he did!"  WHAT!!??  I was thinking do I message him?  I don't want him to know anything about me.

Then tonight when I went to the women's meeting the message was about scars and to remember where it is that God has brought you from!

So to put 2 and 2 together...God showed me that back at my apartment is where Chris and I ended our relationship.  It is where I truly called out to God to help me and HE DID!  He saved me from that horrible relationship and saved me from myself.  I have a scar on my pinkie finger where Chris had broke it and I had to have screws put in it to hold my bones together.  I have the scars as a remembrance from where Christ has brought me from and I thank him that He has given me beauty for ashes!

I thought that I had forgiven him but if God says that's what I need to do that obviously I haven't.   Please keep me in your prayers as I do this.  I know that God wouldn't have me do anything that would bring harm to me.

Keep the faith my friends

Isaiah 61:3
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

What the Cuss!

2 Cor 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I can't help but think of how I used to be.  The former self of what I have become today in Christ Jesus!  I've often said that people know me one of two ways.  The way I was before Christ and the way I am now with Christ.  Friends, Brothers and sisters in the Lord have not a clue as to what I was before I came to know Jesus as my personal Savior.  Friends and family that knew me before Christ may have a hard time accepting the person that I am now.

So with that being said..I've became increasingly annoyed at friends, and family swearing on their facebook statuses.  Now I'm not trying to be "holier than thou" type of person... really I'm not.  But like in the above scripture the former things of MYSELF have passed away and the NEW things of Christ I have adopted.  I love reading people's statuses and seeing what is going on in their lives, but I just don't understand the need to swear in those statuses.  Even when I was of the world I can remember thinking that it just didn't make sense to swear by typing it out.

So today I put this as my status :"I really do like reading ppls statuses. But I don't swear. I know its freedom of speech, but when I read your status and it has swear words n it, it kinda makes me say those words n my head then I have to try n either replace the word or skip over it. I dont like it...just wish ppl wouldnt swear."  And as to be expected I recieved a few comments.  A few of which I had to delete.  But some were taunting me, or as they said were joking and others were I guess defending themselves.  The point I was trying to make was exactly what I put my status as.  I just don't like reading the "bad" words.  I wish that facebook had a language filter on it so that when people did decide to use profane language it would change it to #@!*%$ instead.

Col 3:8 NLT -But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.

Eph 4:29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them;
But just incase you didn't know people...the Bible says for all the words that you say that
Matthew 12: 36 (NLT) And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.

Matthew 12:34-37 (The Message) "You have minds like a snake pit! How do you suppose what you say is worth anything when you are so foul-minded? It's your heart, not the dictionary, that gives meaning to your words. A good person produces good deeds and words season after season. An evil person is a blight on the orchard. Let me tell you something: Every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation."

The Daniel in us

As I was studying this Chapter I began to try and put myself in Daniel's shoes.  I mean imagine yourself on the beach with a few friends and all of a sudden you got this vision...

Daniel 10

In verse 6 it says His body was like chrysolite in the NIV version, but in the KJV it says Beryl.  I was looking up the color of chrysolite and found mostly green.  Then my fleshly mind starting wondering..was Daniel seeing an alien...lol.  But upon further research I found that - Beryl, not well known to the general public, is one of the most important gem minerals. Beryl is colorless in pure form. The many different impurities give beryl its varied coloration. Without these splendid color varieties, beryl would be a rather ordinary gemstone with only average fire and brilliance. Emerald is the green and aquamarine is the blue variety of beryl. The name beryl is used for the red and golden varieties.http://www.gemselect.com/gem-info/beryl/beryl-info.php

His face was like lightning.  You know when lightning strikes and flashes how you like squint your eyes and tense up?  I believe this is what Daniel did when he saw his face.

And his eyes like lamps of fire or flaming torches.  Most people I know love to sit around a fire, weather it be a camp fire or a fireplace.  We have fire in our house like candles.  It is intreaging to us to watch, and for me personally it's very peaceful.  Do you think this is what Daniel saw when he looked into his eyes?

Children of God (Third Day)

We are all Children of God. We have been grafted into the vine.

Pakistani Terror Group Expanding in Europe and USA

A Pakistani terrorist group linked to Al-Qaeda called Lashkar-e-Taiba is
expanding its operations in Europe and the U.S., according to information in a
New York Times article pointed out by the Jihad Watch
blog.
Lashkar-e-Taiba is most known for carrying out 10 simultaneous attacks in
Mumbai, India on November 26, 2008 that killed 164 people. The attackers arrived
using speedboats and carried out various shootings and bombings on “soft”
targets including hotels, a restaurant and a Jewish community center.

According to the report, Lashkar-e-Taiba is no longer just targeting India
but is fighting U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan and wants to carry out attacks in
Europe and the United States.  It is also increasing its fundraising in Germany
and the United Kingdom. The group has previously pledged to “plant a flag” in
Tel Aviv and Washington, D.C.

One of the motivations for attacking the West could be to spark a
confrontation between the U.S. and Pakistan, possibly including military
operations against safe havens for terrorists.

“There is a recognition that because of Lashkar’s associations, an attack on
the United States could wind up causing the Pakistani government extreme pain,”
Seth G. Jones of the RAND Corporation told the New York Times.

The terrorist group has also had contact with “homegrown” extremists in the
West.

"The U.S. and British governments have both acquired overwhelming evidence
that ‘homegrown’ terror cells seeking instruction at ‘real’ terror training
camps frequently end up at either facilities run by LET [Lashkar-e-Taiba] or JEM
[Jaish-e-Mohammed]. JEM is essentially seen as an equal substitute for LET if
the latter is unavailable," terrorism expert Evan Kohlmann told the
Investigative Project on Terrorism in December 2009.

Recordings of Gunfire From Holy Islamville in SC Released

The Christian Action Network (CAN) has released recordings of gunfire from a
Muslim-only community called Holy Islamville in York County, South Carolina from
March 6. The site is run by an extremist group called Muslims of the Americas,
which says it has 22 “villages” like Holy Islamville around the country. CAN has
released footage showing some of its members being given guerilla warfare
instruction.
The recordings were released as part of an article authored for FrontPage
Magazine by Ryan Mauro, CAN’s National Security Advisor, titled “Sweet Talking
the Christians.” It discusses how an event was held at Islamville on February 19
that was attended by a representative of the local sheriff’s office and churches
were invited. About two weeks later on March 6, CAN obtained recordings of
gunfire coming from the compound, despite the insistence of the Muslims of the
Americas that the site is not used for any type of guerilla warfare
training.

The Front Page article, with the recordings, can be read by CLICKING HERE.

Mauro’s piece also details how government officials and politicians have
embraced the group despite its history of extremism, such as Binghamton Mayor
Matthew T. Ryan.

“The success of the MOA’s outreach efforts is entirely because of negligence
by those they embrace, including local officials. This information can quickly
be discovered with little research. For the non-Muslim friends of the MOA, it is
more important to look tolerant and open-minded than to confront unmistakable
Islamic extremism,” Mauro wrote.

In 2009, CAN released a documentary named “Homegrown Jihad: Terrorist Camps
Around the U.S.” about the Muslims of the Americas sites around the country. It
included a secret videotape made by the group showing its Pakistan-based leader,
Sheikh Gilani, telling viewers about the Islamic guerilla warfare training
offered at these sites. The tape then shows some of the tactics being learned,
including the firing of AK-47s, hijacking vehicles and setting off explosives.
In the film, CAN’s staff visits several of the MOA sites around the country.

Shortly after the release of “Homegrown Jihad,” CAN was given a second MOA
tape that showed female members at Islamberg in Hancock, N.Y., receiving
guerilla warfare training while in military attire. They are seen marching in
formation, practicing combat with knives and swords and firing guns into a
lake.

Martin Mawyer, the President of CAN, says that the group is finishing up a
video to supplement “Homegrown Jihad” using the information they have received
since the film’s release. New information about the group and Islamville
specifically will be included, he says.

Wars & Rumors of War

I've been interested in Prophesy for along time now.  God has used me in prophesy also.  Lately I've been thinking of the scriptures in Matthew 24.
Matthew 24:7-8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth pains.
I know the Bible speaks in vs 6 that there will be wars and rumors of war but this is not the end.
Matthew 24:6  You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
But I'm seeing waaaay more war than just our typical wars.  For example:  Iraq, Iran, Lybia, Egypt, Israel, the Tsunami from Japan and the effects that reached Hawaii and California!  There is so much prophesy in the Bible that is being fulfilled in our time.  It is time for the Christians to make a stand and stand up for what is true.   No matter what the cost stand firm in the faith of Christ. We are already seeing the persecution of Christians even in our own cities much less other countries.  I saw a lady who renounced Islam and converted to Christianity and they cut her nose off her face!  Does that sound like a religion of peace?
Matthew 24: 9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, Christians put to death and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Don't be deceived by  false "Jesus" or false "prophets" or false "Christ"   When the REAL Jesus comes you will definitely know.  It's not going to be a secret where it will be missed!  The gospel says that just like you see lightning flash across the sky, you will see Jesus!

Matthew 24:26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.  30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
So I'm begging you please don't be fooled!  Don't lose heart and don't lose faith!  Stay strong until Jesus returns!  The Bible says as stated above that many will fall away from the Faith, and many will be fooled.  There will be many false prophets and even preforming miracles and signs of wonders but do not believe it is NOT Jesus! It is going to happen, that's why Jesus told us ahead of time, we have been warned!
Matthew 24:24-25 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.

Earthquakes in Various Places

Matthew 24:3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a] spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.
29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
   “‘the sun will be darkened,
   and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b]
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Former things

So, I'm just sitting here playing scrabble on http://www.pogo.com/ and trying to relax for a bit.  I've been feeling this deep yearning for God more so lately than normal.  Years ago I started attending church regularly with my husband and kids.  We became really involved with different ministries in our church and we LOVED it.  At times it did become overwhelming because there were only a few people that stepped up and did the work, but we did love it just the same.
A few years later it seemed that our church was going in the wrong direction and became more of a people focus, and people wanting to get credit for what they did instead of a Godly focus.  People were not focusing on what it was that we were going to church for.  We weren't supposed to be going to see and be seen.  We were there for one purpose and that was to worship our creator, and give him praise, honor, and glory.  So at that point my family and I left that church that we had been dedicated to for years.
I've attended several different churches since then, but haven't put my "membership" anywhere else.  Mostly the churches that I have attended are "big" churches.  I haven't felt the same kind of connection to a church since our first one.
At our first church we had about 80-120 members regularly.  It was a small church compared to the ones I've been attending.  We were close and like a family, and I haven't found that "family" I still long to have.
I know that God has a place that he wants me to go to...where?  I don't know.
Now don't get me wrong, the churches I've visited are nice, the people are friendly, the Pastors are great, and preaching the word correctly.  BUT I'm still lacking something in the church that I once had.
I pray that God will lead me and direct me and my family to where it is that he wants us to be.  I pray that I will continue to be strong in my faith and to lean on God and his promises.  Keep me in your prayers people.

When does God show up?

In the Bible God shows up in different places and situations.  Lets take a look at a few of them.

1.  God appears to you in PRAYER.
Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
2Chron 7;14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Acts 4:31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

2.  God will appear when you WORSHIP
Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalm 22:3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises

3.  God will appear when we GATHER in His name
Psalm 133:1&3 1 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! 3 It is as if the dew of Hermon  were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
Hebrews 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

God shows up in so many places in the Bible.  He appeared to Peter when he was in jail and broke the chains from his wrist Acts 12:7.
God shows up in our dreams and gives direction Matthew 2:19.

Not all dreams are due to us eating pizza before bed.  Sometimes God is trying to get our attention.

If you look and pay attention you may just find that God shows up in your situations as well.
